- When installing profile seals by roll forming, the seal is held in place solely by the static friction between the clamping lip and the body paint, meaning that no adhesive or other additives need to be used.
- High reliability and therefore very low maintenance requirements thanks to the unique construction, which avoids peak loads on relevant components.
- Low air consumption thanks to the precise matching of the corresponding components to the power requirement of the speed/gear combination.
- No battery is required due to the compressed air. This completely eliminates the need for rare earths.
- Compressed air is a physically generated energy that is not subject to any wear and tear during storage. In contrast to the chemical processes involved in storing electrical energy in batteries.
The employee on the assembly line does not tire due to strenuous hammer assembly of the profile seal. Thanks to the Multiformer®'s self-drive, the device can be guided by the operator with minimal effort.
The Multiformer® can also be reused after the product changeover of a vehicle model. Only adjustment tasks are required to match the bending rollers to the new profile seal.
The roll-on process is very fast at up to 600 millimetres per second. At the same time, high and uniform pull-off forces are achieved over the length of the profile seal, making reworking unnecessary.
We rate the rollforming process, especially manual rollforming assembly, as very economical.
